Be careful what you “like” !

October 10, 2011

A Texas man has been charged with battery for hitting his wife.  According to the criminal complaint, Mr. Apolinar posted a comment on Facebook about the anniversary of his mother’s death.  His wife did not click the “like” status button.  Mr. Apolinar mentioned to his wife that many others “liked” his post, but he was angry that she did not take the time to note the same on her own Facebook page.  A fight broke out, and when police arrived at the scene, they observed a red mark on her cheek.  The two had recently separated.  Mr. Apolinar was released on $3,000 bond.  It is unclear if Mr. Apolinar “likes” the fact that a judge has set a pretrial conference for December 22.
